Unlike a traditional solid wood chessboard, these are made from veneered printed sheets which give the appearance of antiqued boxwood and ebony wood. The greatest advantage printed boards have over a traditional wood chess board is their durability. These chess boards are guaranteed for 3 years against any cracks or warping on the chessboard.
This chess board has a luxurious hand carved border and is best suited to pair with Lacquered Crimson & White or An Ebony & Bud Rosewood set of chessmen. Alternatively these can go well with other lacquered chessmen or matched with other contrasting colours.
The board is lacquer finished in Semi-Matt look making it ideal for a chess player for usage over prolonged period of time. A matt-finished chess board is best recommended for tournament or professional play as it is soothing to the eyes.
