I purchased the deluxe board, which is 1.77 inches thick. I was concerned it would not fit in the 23" storage bag. I was wrong, it fits great with room to spare. The bag is nicely padded. It also features a lovely lining. Another zippered storage pocket on the outside. Feel confident buying this bag. This is the one you want!

Excellent Case

I have used this case with a solid wood ebony and maple chessboard. It is excellent; well padded with sturdy padded handles for carrying. If you spent the money for a solid wood board, you should spend a bit extra for this carrying case.

A good chess bag

The lining of the bag may leave something to be desired, but the chess board I ordered from royal chess mall came with a velvet covering which solved my issue.
Be sure you are okay with quality of the lining in the bag, it is good enough to get the job done though other competing products in a similar price range that may have a better lining. It fits the chess board as advertised.
It worked perfectly for my need, make an informed choice.
