Chess Board:
Discover the elegance of history with our 19" Dubrovnik Chess Board, crafted in stunning Golden Rosewood and Maple Wood. This exquisite board is a tribute to the iconic Dubrovnik design, famously associated with the legendary Bobby Fischer. Fischer, one of the greatest chess players of all time, often expressed his love for the Dubrovnik chess set, claiming it as his personal favorite.
The Dubrovnik Chess Board holds a prestigious place in chess history, having been famously used in the 1950 IX Chess Olympiad held in Dubrovnik. Its 57 mm squares provide ample space for smooth gameplay, making it a perfect pairing with Dubrovnik-style pieces.
The board features a folding design with internal storage, combining timeless beauty with practical functionality. Its compact design allows you to neatly store your chess pieces inside, ensuring they remain safe and organized when not in use.
This chess board is not only a work of art but also a piece of chess history—ideal for both serious collectors and passionate players who appreciate the legacy of the game.

It looks better in person than it does on the website, and I thought it looked good on the website. The pieces are sturdy, well weighted, and balanced. I was worried the knights would be a little ugly, but they're more attractive in person. They used quality felt on the pieces, and I appreciate the extra queens. They fit very well on the board - not too crowded, and not too much space. You cannot fit 4 pawns on a single square, but these pawns have broad bases and I don't think they should be any smaller. The board is solid and well constructed. I wish the latches were less flimsy, but I've yet to see a folding chess set that doesn't use something like those. All in all, I'm quite pleased, and will gladly buy again if I can ever justify having another chess set in my house.
Best Birthday Gift!
The chess set is simply stunning. It was packaged and wrapped perfectly. The quality is astounding. If you're looking for a professional dealer for a well made chess set, your search came to an end.

Good day,
Are the pieces sold with the board weighted or unweighted?
Hello Yoshlin
Thank you for your message.
The dubrovnik chess set sold along with dubrovnik chessboard is weighted.
The chess set is double weighted.
Hello RCM team,
How many merlons does the rook in this set have?
Is this indeed a thinner board than the Dubrovnik board which is sold separately?
Thanks and best regards.
Hello Henk
Thank you for reaching out to us.
The rook has 5 merlons and this is the same chessboard sold separately.
