CHESS COMBO

Chess Pieces:- English Upright Chess Sets in Club Sizes popularly retailed in chess shops around the early 19th century. Our reproduction is based on an upright set retailed by William Leuchars of London. (Pictures courtesy www.chessantiquesonline.com)

The design is almost 200 years old and predates the now-traditional Staunton design.
The Northern Upright (or Edinburgh) chess set was a popular precursor of the Staunton pattern and is thought to have partly inspired the first Staunton design.
The craftsmanship of all the chess pieces is quite extraordinary. Each piece is lovingly hand-carved and hand-turned by experienced master artisans with years of experience crafting luxury chessmen.
If you love chess, you deserve to pamper yourself with this exquisite reproduction.
