First, it was really well packed and received 2 days earlier than expected.
I could hardly find the imperfection, it was on a pawn, and really minor.
That said, the white pièces which are antique lacquered are really really nice on the white squares and also on the black ones, they really pop.
They capture the light so well and reflect it.
The black pieces are like stone, very solid, mat finish, a bit shiny when cleaning them, a very mineral feeling,
Nevertheless, we can notice the dark grey veins of the wood, really nice.
I have received this wonderful chess game and I am truly convinced of the great quality of it. I thank Royal Chess Mall, for the great attention it gives me and I hope to continue buying many more games from them in the future

This set in antique lacquered Boxwood is gorgeous and suits as well for over the board games! I would give 5 stars for the quality only the difference in weighting the black vs white pieces is the only negative point. Roughly 15% are the black pieces more heavy. Bit if you play the black pieces, like in real chess, you have an extra weight…..and one move less. All good, I can live with this smal inaccuracy.
