The 3" Professional Staunton Craftsman Chess Set in Ebonised Boxwood is a luxury chess set, handcrafted for discerning players who value refined aesthetics, precision craftsmanship, and modern smart-board compatibility. Designed for seamless use with Chessnut Air and Air+ boards, the pieces feature empty bases with customized holes, allowing smooth installation of the Chessnut Sensor Chip Set for accurate and consistent gameplay tracking.
Base Hole Details (Approx.):
Pawns: 10 mm diameter × 10.5 mm depth (sensor trimming required)
All Other Pieces: 12 mm diameter × 16 mm depth
As each piece is handmade, slight variations may occur. All pieces are tested to work reliably with Chessnut sensors.
Sensor Trimming (Pawns Only):
For pawn installation, only the top rubber/plastic rim (outer lip) of the sensor requires light trimming. Do not cut the center disc or the bottom flat surface. Trim gradually and test-fit until the sensor sits flush and secure.
Includes 34 green felts, custom-sized to match the bases of the chess pieces.
