Bundesform or the Federal Form Chess Pieces emerged as an alternative to the widely used Staunton chess pieces in the 1930s in Germany. 


They became popular for use in the Munich Chess Olympics of 1936 and subsequently found their use in chess tournaments.


They were particularly appreciated for their simple design, durability, and affordability.  

This design will find great favor amongst chess players and collectors for its distinct appearance and playability. 

The chess pieces have been expertly hand-carved and turned by master artisans with years of experience crafting these pieces. They are highly durable and will last for years and years to come.
