This set is exactly what I was looking for. I like reproduction sets for the history, but I already have many antiqued sets made to look older. This set, with its beautiful red and white gleaming lacquer, looks so amazing on my blackwood/curly maple board. The photos on the website don't do justice to their shiny finish. They are also larger than you might expect, nicely sitting on a 2 1/4 in squares board. They are well weighted and feel wonderful in the hand and over the board. This set had been out of stock for quite a while, and when I received the email notification that it was back in stock I didn't hesitate. I am very pleased to have this fine set in my collection.
