The quality of the pieces is fantastic for a very reasonable price. I purchased the pieces mainly because I really like the "Sinquefield-style" knights which look absolutely beautiful. The items fully matched the description and absolutely matched my expectations. All pieces were wrapped very carefully to avoid damage during transport.

Like the weight, colour and design. Smoothness of the wood. Not sure which kind of box wood is used? I went for the ebony not the ebonised due to color, and mainly wearability. Am very happy so far. Which kind of boxwood used though, as there are several woods that can be used and named boxwood?

Purchased the 3.9" Craftsman Series Staunton Chess Pieces. The pieces, in ebony and boxwood, look superb and are well carved. The pieces retain the correct size proportions across the black and white pieces, including the spare queens. Excellent quality ebony chess pieces at a great price. This set is advertised as having a 3.9' king. In truth the king is about the same size as the king in my 3.75' set which is what I actually wanted. I was looking for an ebony set with a 3.75' king and 1.6' diameter. The king may be 3.9' but it looks and feels like 3.75'.

The craftsmanship of the Knights is excellent. And the whole chess set is perfect

Very good quality, all my pieces came in perfect, no crack or any other defects. The shipping was quick, consider from India to the US. Got the ebony wood for the true black color. Really like the Knight pieces with a docile head position. The weight seems perfect. The only gripe I have is the replacement process, if that would ever be needed. All pieces came with 3-yr warranty but have to send them back to India for a replacement. Hope I won't have to do that!
