Refund policy
Cancellation Policy:
Buyers can request for cancellation of orders only till the time they are not processed for shipping (This is not a guaranteed service, however our team will try to cancel your order as early as possible). After the order has been processed for shipping, buyer can only initiate a return/ exchange for the item after receiving it.
In case of buyer-initiated cancellations or refunds for remote area orders, buyers will be refunded with the total amount paid.
Return & Exchanges
We offer a 30 day, no questions asked, return window on all our products. Buyer must contact us within 30 days of receipt for return instructions at sales@royalchessmall.com
Once the return is approved, buyers must ship the item back to our warehouse in India. Shipping arrangements need to be made by the buyer. Customers from the USA, Canada, and Mexico have the option to return the item to our USA warehouse for convenience (valid for orders placed after June 20, 2022). Similarly, customers in Europe and other countries worldwide can also send their returns to our USA warehouse.
For UK customers, returns can be sent to our UK warehouse for easy processing (valid for orders placed after July 30, 2023).
For customers based in Germany, returns can be sent to our Germany warehouse for easy processing (valid for orders placed after December 26, 2024).
After we properly inspect the item, we will issue a refund less the shipping costs of shipping the item originally to the customer. If any duty / taxes have been paid by Royal Chess Mall to government of the importing country, that would also be deducted from refund.
Our products can be returned in the following cases
1. For customer remorse (This happens when the customer purchased the wrong product, it doesn't fit, or they no longer want the item)
2. For defective products (This happens when the product is incorrect, damaged by the carrier, or defective in another way)
Replacements
We take stringent measures to ensure that the items delivered to you are in perfect condition. However, there is a remote possibility that:
1. The item may be damaged during transit
2. Or there might be a manufacturing defect
3. Or that a wrong item is delivered to you
In only such cases as given above, we will replace the item at no extra cost, provided that the request for replacement/return of the item is made within the stipulated time frame as given below.
* Within 48 hours of receipt for Cases of Damage in Transit.
* Within 3 years for cases related to manufacturing defects as provided in warranty coverage (Applicable for Chess Pieces)
* Within 6 months for cases related to manufacturing defects as provided in warranty coverage (Applicable for Chess Boards, Boxes, Travel Sets, and other board games)
To get a replacement, email us your Order Number and the Reason for returning/requesting a replacement. Only after receiving our confirmation for the return, you are requested to send the item back to us. We shall not be responsible for any items sent to us for return/replacement without our confirmation. The email address for all such communication is sales@royalchessmall.com
Refunds & Store Credit:
Refunds will be issued for the buyer in the following cases.
1: Buyer Initiated Returns:After we receive the returned item back to our warehouse in India/ USA or any other returns warehouse our customer service provides the details to , we will issue a Refund excluding any shipping upgrades purchased by the buyer and any original shipping cost paid by the company (Free Shipping Cases)
2: Unavailability of items :In rare cases when we are unable to ship out the items from our existing stock, a 100% refund shall be issued to the buyer
3: Claim for defective products :In case, we are unable to manufacture items for replacements, the company may at its sole discretion, issue a suitable store credit/ refund to the buyer's account
All the refunds will be processed within 7-10 days of refund approval via Bank Transfer or PayPal
