3.8" Romanian Hungarian Chess Set- Chess Pieces Only - Weighted Golden Rosewood

€174,95
Romanian Hungarian Series chessmen are extremely popular in tournaments in Romania and Hungary. The design is a refreshing change form the mundane Staunton style chess pieces earlier used.
The design profile of all the pieces are extremely unique, unlike any designs earlier used in chess tournaments. The mane of the kinght is uniquely carved with a widened base of the knight's body making it easy for a chess player to hold and play with.
These chessmen are sturdy and are well suited for Blitz or classical games.

My recently bought 3.8" Romanian Hungarian Chess Set

The pieces are beautifully made, and the combination of golden rosewood and boxwood work really well for this set. The weighting makes it pleasant to play with. An altogether highly recommendable chess set!

Excellent chess pieces!

This set is gorgeous. I find myself just looking at it than using it in study. The design looks much more fun than traditional staunton; and i'm sure this will be more fun too in blitz - as it looks sturdy enough to withstand rough play. However, my copy has one White rook that's darker than the rest of the white army, it doesn't stand out, but it's noticeable.
