Information about wood: Acacia Wood is an excellent alternative to Golden Rosewood. It is similar priced as compared to Golden Rosewood and has good carving properties making it one of the most widely used woods for making chess pieces.

The wood is highly durable with medium density and is meant to withstand decades of use.
