You can buy resin pieces that look similar ( often costing more ) however I recommend hand carved weighted wood, GO NATURAL ! ! Thank you to the Royal Chess Mall team.

Fantastic Chess set. Amritsar to Aberdeenshire in 6 days without any issues. Could track progress with FedEx delivery online. The package was well protected and each individual piece was individually wrapped inside the package. Absolutely no complaints and would recommend to anyone.

Non pago di avere già preso la versione con i Pezzi Neri in bosso ebanizzato per la Chessnut Evo, ho acquistato anche la versione con i Pezzi Neri in palissandro dorato per la Chessnut air+. Occorre verificare che ogni singolo chip da inserire, munito del feltrino, funzioni su tutte le 64 case della scacchiera. I chip inviati da Chessnut non sono esenti da imperfezioni e talvolta può accadere che la distanza tra il sensore sottostante la superfice della scacchiera e quello inserito nel pezzo, maggiorato dallo spessore del feltrino, non permetta la ricezione su tutte le 64 case. Superato questo scoglio il risultato finale è semplicemente favoloso.
Absolutely spectacular, from the hourglass like design with smooth curves and the photorealistic knight, this Marengo set is truly outstanding.
I also own their Alexandria set which is a thing of beauty, but this Marengo set is next level art, their crown jewel without a doubt.
It is worth mentioning that the set arrived quickly but the black king came with the crown broken, but I emailed Royal Chess team and they immediately processed a new shipment with a new black King for replacement:

Ni un solo error ni variaciones de tono ni tamaño el caballo es una verdadera joya igualmente atesorar toda mi vida este set de ajedrez junto con los otros 5 sets que he adquirido de Royal chess m. Solo pienso en que me gustaría vivir eternamente para jugar con estas piezas toda mi vida, les recomiendo mantener su ambiente controlado tal como se ve el higrometro en mis fotos para tenerlas en perfectas condiciones yo solo las juego cuando tengo esas condiciones ambientales sino, las resguardo en mi armario en caja de madera sin barnizar y con temperatura y humedad adecuadas esto también es una parte muy importante para que estás hermosas piezas se mantengan incluso por generaciones en Perfecto estado, felicidades a sus artesanos y a su gran servicio al cliente estoy muy feliz y no dudaré en continuar comprando ahora serán otros 2 o 3 tableros más (adquiri 1 y esta simplemente hermoso y perfecto!)

This is my 3rd purchase from Royal Chess Mall. I purchased the 4.5" Tilted Knight Luxury Staunton Chess Set- Chess Pieces Only Bud Rosewood & Boxwood a month or so ago and thought that I had a board worthy – I was WRONG ! When my 25 inches Large Chess board in Golden Rosewood & Maple Wood - 65 mm Square arrived, ( in record time I might add ) I was overwhelmed - IT IS TRULY BEAUTIFUL. It is perfect for the Rosewood and Maple large pieces. I congratulate the Royal Chess Mall team on how well and safely it was packaged and on the surprise of the velvet bag and dust cloth that was included. Not 5 stars, I give it 10.
Truly impressed at the quality of these. My favorite set at the moment. I’m already contemplating my next set from Royal Chess Mall. Chose the imperfect set but I can’t find a flaw with it unless it’s the tone of the white pieces… some are slightly darker but I don’t mind.

It`s a fantastic set, a great choice for a 5cm-square board.
This is a gorgeous chess set. While it is taller than a regulation tournament set, it fits on a standard board with 2.25” squares. I use Royal’s improved Lardy set for tournament and club play, Royal’s Dubrovnik set with no weights set up in the basement, but this set has made it to the living room. It is so beautiful and well proportioned that my wife does not mind it on our coffee table!
I'm very glad I bought this set. It's so beautiful - even my grumpy teenage son said "that's a really nice chess set" when he saw it. The design is clean and modern (much nicer than a Staunton) and the pieces are large and well made (the only workmanship issue is slight asymmetries in the knights' tiny heads, but this is barely noticeable). The set feels really nice in the hand, particularly the pawns which have a nice bottom-heavy swing when you move them. It's so pretty that it's now on permanent display on my kitchen peninsula, where everyone can see it.
The size is nice - the pieces are tall (nearly 10cm kings) and the board is thick, broad and quite heavy. The workmanship on the board also seems good. The squares don't have frame around them, so I thought the board might have a bit of flex and was worried about its durability, but it feels good and sturdy and it has a high finish - I can only feel a very faint join between a few of the squares (otherwise the edges are perfectly smooth).
Overall, I love it. It's nice to play with, seems well built and is very, very pretty. 5/5
Fantastic pieces! Not sure what’s slightly imperfect about them. Nicely carved, well weighted and a joy to play with. Will definitely consider buying more imperfect sets if they are of the same quality!
the coating under the pieces isn't of quality and that is the same for the black vanish on the pieces. The good point is the delivery time. I received my order at time
