Gave as a gift, and my boyfriend loved it. Nicely hand crafted and the weight of the board and chess pieces were great. Arrived sooner than expected. Would recommend.
Lets get some things out of the way. This chess set look PHENOMONAL! The silver and the black just plays into each other so well. And it is very uniqe.
Now, even thought they say that this is the highest quality chess set, it does not quite reach those standards. The carving of metal is choppy in a lot places. My knight was not centered, and my chess board is popping a bit out from the bottom and last, it just reeks of a cheap smell that is quite hard to get rid of. Last but not least, they do not include an extra queen, which is not a dealbreaker but is definitely annoying.
But if you use common sense, it is from a factory in Indonesia, so you shouldn’t expect the highest quality (That is aldo why i gave it a four star rating).
Over all, it is a very good chess set, and it had a SUPER fast delivery even though i live in Europe (6 buiness days)

Set was absolutely beautiful. Board and pieces are well made and balanced. Little problem with the carry case but think company will do the right thing.

I bought this as a gift for someone and he loves it. The board and the pieces are absolutely lovely and have a nice weight to them. I also like the height of the pieces. As the purchaser though, I am a bit disappointed. The red lining was dirty and had some type of black powder/oil reside on it that was immediately obvious when the storage case was open. He wont be able to display the case until we replace the lining. Theres also some damage on the corners of chess board itself. Some of the pieces do have some nicks and chips but I was expecting imperfections since this is a hand made item. Over all the item is lovely and the recipient likes it but for $400 I was expecting no mess or damage to the item. I will reorder from this shop, I will just be prepared to repackage the board and pieces into a new case.
