4.2" Rare American Staunton Luxury Chess Set- Chess Pieces Only - Triple Weighted Rosewood

This chess set is amazing. I built a custom curly maple and figured Claro walnut chess board with 2.25 inch squares. This chess set looks stunning with this size board and compliments the board. I spent a good deal on $ on the wood to make the chess board and wanted pieces to match the quality. I got exactly what I wanted and more. The price was cheaper than many sets of far inferior build. If you are thinking about getting this set, do it right away!

These pieces are amazing, much recommended. All the pieces are nicely weighted and are really nice to move. I also bought the 55mm (square size) rosewood board and they go good together. The pieces have a good proportional size to the board which makes them a perfect fit for eachother. As all the other reviews say the photos won't make up for what it looks like in person. The black pieces of rosewood are so beautiful but/and look a bit different depending on what light hits them. I realized that sunlight makes these pieces really stand out whilst with worse lighting the look darker and less "veiny"

The pieces are all solid hardwood weighted internally so a stiff breeze won't blow them over. They arrived all the way from India in about five days via super fast Fedex shipping. All pieces are intricately carved to the smallest detail. Well worth the price!
