Having received my Zadar chess pieces last week I have now used them on several occasions and these really are fantastic to look at it their simple elegant lines but they also feel brilliant in the hands when playing.I consider them to be absolutely ideal for competitive chess and studying with as they are very pleasing on the eye with just enough weight even for blitz chess they are extremely well made I highly recommend these pieces they are just fantastic I've taken pictures of these pieces with my silicone chess board I use at my club

Elegant chess pieces that will not age, a pleasure to use and look at with great proportions across all pieces. Best matched with 55mm squares with a board made of the same wood i.e. golden rosewood. The satin gloss has just the right amount of sheen. The pieces are not too heavy and not too light - just right. The felt is fine and reaches the border of the base in most cases. The design and workmanship are without flaw and a pleasure to observe. Originally, I was looking at a more ornate knight but the beauty, elegance combined with minimalism of this set won me over. The pieces will receive daily use on a 21” board. Timeless elegance that proves great design is simple and exceptional when combined with a design flair. The description correctly stated a masterpiece that blends tradition with contemporary design. Delivery was faster than expected. The packaging - box and protective wrapping demonstrated effort and thought that went into this part of the overall experience - very professional.
This set is such an elegant masterpiece. It strikes a balance between minimalist style and details of each piece. In my humble opinion, this set may look better than the World Chess Championship set. The pieces are also very ergonomic. It feels so nice holding the piece in hand. I would dare say that this is by far the best minimalist style chess set out there.
