This classy set has all the traditional Staunton hallmarks, the bishops in particular being reminiscent of some 19th century Staunton designs. The ornate knights are what make the set so distinctive, with their artistic carvings and flamboyant manes. That said, their playability isn't affected; they are both comfortable to hold and move easily on the board.
If you're looking for a contemporary Staunton set that's a little bit different, this could be the one.
Thanks to RCM's excellent customer service, the pieces arrived quickly, safely wrapped and packaged in a virtually indestructible box.

チェス駒は文句なしに素晴らしく、五つ星です。ただし、商品説明シートの寸法がかなり大まかで不正確だったため、一つ星減らしました。 特に、キングの台座は 42mm ではなく 43mm、ビショップの台座は 39mm ではなく 約37mm など。さらに、セット全体の重量もデータシートの記載より約 100グラム軽い です（黒の駒〈エボニー〉は白より少し小さめですが、全体では逆に約 90 グラム重い）。 非常に高価なチェスセットではありますが、寸法の不正確さを除けば、購入する価値は十分にあります（以前購入した 2 セットでも同様の誤差がありました）。 イタリアへの配送は比較的早かったです。さらに、柔らかいポーチが サプライズで同梱 されていました。 Royal Chess Mall、よくやりました！
