This is the kind of chess for meticulous people.
Chess players who care about quality and aesthetique would be pleased to acquire and use these chess pieces.
The Bishop nose cut goes through the little round bit at the top, making it half a sphere rather than a sphere.
This does not make it any less beautiful as a design, but just a subjective point of view. This is the only detail I did not like.
The knight is very nicely detailed and styled. In fact, every piece is a piece of art on its own and could well be used to decorate your living room.
The size is ideal for chess players who have small hands. Would probably be especially prefered by female players. But 3" king is not small. It's just not big.
Wood quality and craft is very much appreciated. A pleasure to touch.

Beautiful! I wanted a nice set of pieces that would fit my 14x14 board (40 mm square) I got from my Grandfather long time ago! It was difficult to find a good quality set that could fit this relatively small board. I'm very happy with the quality and the feel of the pieces.

An absolutely stunning chess set! Each piece was individually wrapped and the details are superb. Quite large bases, so I would recommend a 16" board as 14" is quite snug for the king and queen. I am really impressed and would say that this set is value for money.. Thank you Royal Chess Mall!
