I had been looking for an upgraded chess set that included bud rosewood pieces. I was also looking for a set that would work with well with my 16" premier travel chess set that I had previously purchased from RCM. I like smaller boards. Smaller bud rosewood pieces are not so easy to find. However, this set works perfectly well with the 1.73" squares of the board. The pieces are beautifully crafted. They were expertly packaged with no flaws. They look just as good as many of the sets sold on competitors sites at much higher prices. It should be noted that this set of pieces will not fit properly into the foam cutouts of the 16" travel board. I knew this would be the case. No problem, I'll just use a separate box. I could not be happier with this purchase.
Hoewel ze aan de kleine kant zijn, hebben ze een zeer goed gewicht en voelen ze niet onstabiel aan. Ze zijn zeer mooi vervaardigd en de kleur is prachtig. Deze kleinere set past goed op het bijpassende 19" rozenhouten bord. Ze geven je reservevrouwen voor pionpromotie. Zeer tevreden.
What a gorgeous set of pieces. I really don’t have much more to say. And of course the knight is the star of the show. I was apprehensive due to the small size, but couldn’t be happier now. They look and feel perfect on my 2” square board. Thank you Royal Chess Mall for making these wonderful pieces!
