John Calvert was een van de meest prominente schaaksnijders in Engeland in het Pre-Staunton tijdperk. (Circa 18e eeuw)

Onze Calvert Schaakstukken zijn een nauwkeurige reproductie van een van de iconische ontwerpen van John Calvert.

De kwaliteit van het vakmanschap op deze schaakstukken is vrij uitzonderlijk, iets wat alleen een deskundige snijder met jarenlange ervaring kan bereiken.

Elk stuk is liefdevol met de hand gesneden en gedraaid door ervaren meesterkunstenaars met jarenlange ervaring in het vervaardigen van luxe schaakstukken.

Ze zijn vervolgens kunstmatig verouderd om de schaakstukken een vintage patina-effect te geven. Deze schaakstukken zijn dubbel verzwaard met loden noppen en hebben een aanzienlijke ballast om een grote stabiliteit op het schaakbord te garanderen.

Het zijn schaakstukken van erfstukkwaliteit die nog vele tientallen jaren meegaan.
