This chess set is amazing. I built a custom curly maple and figured Claro walnut chess board with 2.25 inch squares. This chess set looks stunning with this size board and compliments the board. I spent a good deal on $ on the wood to make the chess board and wanted pieces to match the quality. I got exactly what I wanted and more. The price was cheaper than many sets of far inferior build. If you are thinking about getting this set, do it right away!

Deze stukken zijn geweldig, echt een aanrader. Alle stukken hebben een mooi gewicht en bewegen erg prettig. Ik heb ook het 55mm (vierkant formaat) palissander bord gekocht en ze passen goed bij elkaar. De stukken hebben een goede verhouding met het bord waardoor ze perfect bij elkaar passen. Zoals alle andere reviews zeggen, de foto's maken niet goed hoe het er in het echt uitziet. De zwarte stukken rozenhout zijn zo mooi, maar/en zien er een beetje anders uit afhankelijk van het licht dat erop valt. Ik realiseerde me dat zonlicht deze stukken er echt uit laat springen, terwijl ze er bij slechter licht donkerder en minder "aderig" uitzien.

The pieces are all solid hardwood weighted internally so a stiff breeze won't blow them over. They arrived all the way from India in about five days via super fast Fedex shipping. All pieces are intricately carved to the smallest detail. Well worth the price!

Onberispelijk vakmanschap in combinatie met het gebruikte exotische hout zorgt ervoor dat deze schaakstukken opvallen als geen ander. Prachtig ebbenhout, palissander en buxushout.
