The Mogul Staunton Luxury Ebony set is a beautiful and premium chess set. The carving details, especially the knights, are excellent, and the weight makes it very satisfying to play with.
Paired with a 2.25" Dubrovnik-style board that I also purchased from Royal Chess Mall (as shown in the photos), the presentation is elegant. However, on a 2.25-inch square board it feels slightly crowded, and a larger board would suit this set better. I am planning to upgrade to a larger board for display.
One thing to note is storage. The pieces are quite large and may not fit well in smaller boxes. I tried a 12.5 x 5.5 x 4 inch box and found it tight, as shown in the photos, so a larger storage box is recommended.
In my case, there were some minor finishing inconsistencies on a few pieces. However, customer support was very responsive and resolved the issue under warranty by offering free replacement pieces, with shipping fully covered by Royal Chess Mall.
This gives me confidence that the warranty works as advertised, and future buyers should not hesitate to purchase. I have purchased multiple sets from Royal Chess Mall, and this is the only time I have encountered such a minor issue, which reflects their overall high standards of quality.

Mijn bestelling werd snel verzonden en arriveerde binnen een week in het oosten van de VS. De kwaliteit van het Ebony is top, en de schaakstukken zijn allemaal consistent en goed gedaan. De 4.6" King set is een beetje groot om snel te spelen, maar ze komen goed tot hun recht en spelen erg mooi in langzame partijen. Een echte aanrader
De set werd de dag nadat ik hem had besteld al verzonden en kwam op tijd bij me aan. Een foto kan de werkelijke glorie van deze geweldige set niet laten zien. Het vakmanschap is op elk stuk te zien. Hartelijk bedankt!
