It looks better in person than it does on the website, and I thought it looked good on the website. The pieces are sturdy, well weighted, and balanced. I was worried the knights would be a little ugly, but they're more attractive in person. They used quality felt on the pieces, and I appreciate the extra queens. They fit very well on the board - not too crowded, and not too much space. You cannot fit 4 pawns on a single square, but these pawns have broad bases and I don't think they should be any smaller. The board is solid and well constructed. I wish the latches were less flimsy, but I've yet to see a folding chess set that doesn't use something like those. All in all, I'm quite pleased, and will gladly buy again if I can ever justify having another chess set in my house.
