My Wife purchased this particular board as part of a set which was given as a gift to me.
She had chosen this board to contrast the ebonized Zadar Chess pieces that I had wanted.
The quality and craftsmanship of this board is amazing, and it does match perfectly with my Zadar chess pieces.
The packaging that my board arrived in was equally impressive in it's own right. The board was hand wrapped in high quality paper, then heavy duty plastic which was also hand cut and sealed. This was then packed into a perfectly fitted box with high quality, dense foam inserts. The box itself was protected by a mesh membrane that offered external protection from shipping damage and weather.
I could go on about the board in great detail, but I assure you that it is as advertised in the pictures and description, and much more.
I highly recommend this beautiful work of art.

21" Solid Ebony & Maple Wood Chess Board With Notations - 55 mm square - Matt Finish
I am extremely pleased with this chess board. The workmanship and appearance is exquisite.
I had ordered an Ebony board from another vendor and was very dissatisfied. The photo of the board looked great online, but in reality the workmanship left a lot to be desired. The packaging was sub-standard and the board arrived damaged as a result.
Royal Chess Mall, however, packaged this board with great care and it arrived in pristine condition. I couldn't be happier with my experience with Royal Chess Mall.
I also purchased the Traveller Staunton chess piece set in Ebony and Boxwood with 4.1" king to match this board. The Traveller set was heavily weighted and magnificently crafted. Each piece was individually double rolled in a strip of heavy closed cell foam. The pieces were then placed in protective wrap holding 4 pieces and placed in a heavy cardboard box lined with heavy foam on all sides. This box was then placed in another cardboard box. Needless to say, you could have dropped this from the Empire State Building with no damage. Each piece was exquisitely carved with no imperfections. I am extremely pleased the quality of my two purchases from Royal Chess Mall. Shipping was pleasantly quick as well. Thank you, Royal Chess Mall.
