RoyalChessMall did an excellent job on this reproduction, even "lowering" the King's size to 9.5cm (3.7 inches) when many of these sets feature an 11cm King. However, this set shows us a prodigious balance between the size of each piece and the base, an elegance in the chessboard that marvels. The carving work of enormous quality and the simplicity of the design of each piece, based on the original, is to be highlighted. As a collector of Soviet pieces (Youtube video "Soviet chess Pieces") I can only be happy that RoyalChessMall makes this high quality reproduction available. Moving these pieces on a board is a pleasure. This Set is to be placed on a chessboard with 5.5 cm to 6.0 square! Ah!
