Superior quality. Ebony pieces feel heavy and cold. Carved details are amazing on the knight, the king's cross, and the finishes on the rook or bishop. It will be amazing to play with them with my son, and you can use them as interior design for your home. About the size, it is perfect for me. A little 4.1 inches would be the maximum, further of this size seems very big to play for me.

I couldn't be happier with my set of chess pieces from Royal Chess Mall. They arrived in excellent shape and are wonderfully made. These were my favorite knight shapes in my budget and they are excellent!

Took about a week from order date to get them to GA. The pieces were packaged very well. Individually wrapped with cushioned foam and all of them were in excellent condition. The weight is great, the finish is perfect, and the knights look very similar for being hand carved. Well worth the money. Very happy with purchase, I expect the pieces to last a very long time. The board in photo is 2.25" squares and I think the size of the pieces are perfect for the board.

The quality of the pieces is fantastic for a very reasonable price. I purchased the pieces mainly because I really like the "Sinquefield-style" knights which look absolutely beautiful. The items fully matched the description and absolutely matched my expectations. All pieces were wrapped very carefully to avoid damage during transport.

Like the weight, colour and design. Smoothness of the wood. Not sure which kind of box wood is used? I went for the ebony not the ebonised due to color, and mainly wearability. Am very happy so far. Which kind of boxwood used though, as there are several woods that can be used and named boxwood?

Excellent quality ebony chess pieces at a great price. This set is advertised as having a 3.9' king. In truth the king is about the same size as the king in my 3.75' set which is what I actually wanted. I was looking for an ebony set with a 3.75' king and 1.6' diameter. The king may be 3.9' but it looks and feels like 3.75'.

The craftsmanship of the Knights is excellent. And the whole chess set is perfect

Very good quality, all my pieces came in perfect, no crack or any other defects. The shipping was quick, consider from India to the US. Got the ebony wood for the true black color. Really like the Knight pieces with a docile head position. The weight seems perfect. The only gripe I have is the replacement process, if that would ever be needed. All pieces came with 3-yr warranty but have to send them back to India for a replacement. Hope I won't have to do that!

Beautifully crafted chess pieces and triple weighted makes it a pleasure to play.

Fantastic chessmen and board (2.25 rosewood and maple). Great weighting, craftsmanship and wood quality. Would not hesitate to recommend these products.

The pieces themselves are superb. Very well made and feel great in the hands.
However, the seller Royal Chess Mall let things down as they were very slow to ship. Ive certainly had faster service from competitors.
