我们的 3.75" King 比赛用棋子是仿照著名的斯汤顿图案棋子设计的，该图案由著名木工约翰-雅克（John Jacques）设计，并由他的助手纳撒尼尔-库克（Nathaniel Cooke）于 1849 年 3 月 1 日注册。

该设计的每件棋子都遵循明确的语法。坚固的车被设计成具有坚不可摧的城墙的坚固城堡，卒被设计成具有纤细衣领的简约风格，象具有简单的斜角，高大优雅的国王以十字架为标志，王后具有独特的冠冕。
