You can tell it's a set with great quality, the great craftmanship is evident, mostly in the knight. The packaging was very well done and all the pieces seem to be in perfect state.
Just one detail, the "black pieces" are quite darker in the set I got than the one shown in the website. But I guess that depends on the wood and the specific tree it was taken from.

These pieces are amazing, much recommended. All the pieces are nicely weighted and are really nice to move. I also bought the 55mm (square size) rosewood board and they go good together. The pieces have a good proportional size to the board which makes them a perfect fit for eachother. As all the other reviews say the photos won't make up for what it looks like in person. The black pieces of rosewood are so beautiful but/and look a bit different depending on what light hits them. I realized that sunlight makes these pieces really stand out whilst with worse lighting the look darker and less "veiny"

Done to perfection ! I originally ordered a smaller set but had to ask for a refund because family and friends thought it was too expensive and unnecessary . However after a few weeks of working out which set I really liked, and would be the best for me, ( I’ve had Parkinson’s for the past 16 years ) with all the shaking and involuntary movements . What do I think about the 4.6” Prestige Luxury Staunton Chess Pieces Only set - Bud Rosewood - Triple Weighted ? It’s Perfect in every way . Royal Chess Malls’ explanation of the size , height and board measurements made it so easy to choose a matching piece , 60cm squares Rosewood board and a burgundy briefcase to keep all of the pieces safe from damage . I can’t thank the artists enough for delivering such magnificent work and I’m sure I’ll be back again soon.
