Andy D. The 1904 Cambridge Springs International chess tournament inspired this reproduction chess set. Very well crafted in ebony and boxwood, the knight distinguishes itself from other typical equestrian figures. Some may call it a Llama, others say a laughing horse. Either way, it's quite enjoyable and notably unique amongst most other chess knights. Along with comments from my friends regarding the knight, some also remarked on the hefty weight of the ebony pieces (measured at 17% more than the boxwood counterparts). An elegant set with early 20th century styling, and a nice addition to my collection.
