Ich liebe die Schachfiguren, die Qualität ist fantastisch, sie fühlen sich wirklich hochwertig an, sind sehr gut ausbalanciert und alle Figuren sind in Gewicht und Größe sehr gleichmäßig. Das einzige Problem, das ich habe, ist, dass alle hellen Buchsbaumfiguren je nach Lichteinfall fast orangefarben aussehen. Wenn Sie überlegen, dieses Set zu kaufen, würde ich es auf jeden Fall empfehlen. Ich gebe ihm eine 9/10 für Preis und Qualität, nur das orangefarbene Aussehen ist mein kleines Problem.☺️

Eines der Teile ist nicht gesprungen und fällt daher nicht unter die Garantie, aber es hat etwas, das mir wie ein Astknoten erscheint, eine Stelle, an der ein Ast aus dem Hauptast des Baumes gewachsen ist und die sich nun leicht nach außen als kleine, erhabene, raue Beule ausdehnt. Dieses Teil ist überhaupt nicht glatt wie alle anderen Teile. Es muss glatt gewesen sein, als sie das Teil auf einer Holzdrehmaschine geschliffen und poliert haben, und mit der Zeit ist es so geworden. Ich verstehe, dass es sich um ein Produkt aus Naturholz handelt, aber mir gefällt nicht, dass ich dieses Set nicht gekauft hätte, wenn ich gewusst hätte, dass die Teile so aussehen können. Ich finde, dass dies unter die Garantie fallen sollte, aber sie haben abgelehnt, was für andere eine Warnung sein sollte, dass dies als „normal” angesehen wird, wenn man ein Set kauft. Vergewissern Sie sich vor dem Kauf, dass Sie damit einverstanden sind.
Die Reise-Figuren sind von hoher Qualität, die dunklen Figuren haben eine unverwechselbare satte Farbe, die nur Bud Rosenholz bieten kann. Die Figuren würden nur zur Schau gestellt werden, wenn sie nicht benutzt würden. Sie sollten in die Hand genommen und gespielt werden, um ihren vollen Wert zu entfalten.
Ich habe das Alexandria-Schachspiel gekauft. Es ist wunderschön. Jetzt will meine Frau jeden Abend gegen mich spielen! Mit diesem Spiel fühle ich mich wie ein König. Die Details des Springers sind unübertroffen. Die Figuren sind schwer und gleiten mit Autorität über das Brett. Merkt man, dass ich mein neues Spiel liebe?!
Ich habe mein Schachbrett gebaut und mir Gedanken über die Farbabstimmung gemacht... Diese Figuren passen perfekt zum Brett und sehen toll aus und eignen sich hervorragend zum Schachspielen!!!
I had ordered this set for my new table and fit prefect on a 2 1/4" squares. They came fully protected in the packing. This is a great set and is weighted just right.

I definitely do not recommend buying "slightly imperfect" cheaper version. There are too many imperfections in terms of chips and color variations.
The textile on the bottom of the pieces is a little bit too thin.
All in all, a good value for money.
This set of chess pieces is wonderful, no matter the insignificant imperfections that are barely visible. It is a superb set.
Arrived quickly. It was packaged very well and the pieces are wery nice. Once I got them in my hands I love them. The weights are very nice, color is matching. I noticed that there is small different between white and dark queen heads. But rest of the pieces are ok I really like the knights. They look very good and when you hold them you have good feelings. I was looking for a set with big pawns, weighted, queens with high close to kings and this special look of knights. I got all what I was looking for. Now I just need find them good box. thanks for the set. It was my gift for myself for Christmas the best one :)
Shipping was faster than expected, took a little over a week. Very well packaged and each chess piece was individually wrapped. The pieces are exactly what I wanted! Would order from here again!
The pieces arrived in a sealed box in seven days. The pieces were individually wrapped so as not to touch each other. The unboxing was so exciting that I felt like a child opening his Christmas gift.
I placed the pieces in a 2.5 inch square board. The pieces looked like they were ready for battle. I liked the contrast of the light boxwood pieces and the mahogany stained dark pieces, with their different shades of hue. When I moved the pieces, I felt like they were like butter sliding in a glass. It will be a real pleasure playing with these pieces.
I weighed the pieces individually. The total weight was 1,416 grams. The site declared a weight of 1,350 grams, so I was pleased with the weight of the pieces. Sometimes, I feel like I just want to hold and admire these pieces as it gives me great pleasure.
In conclusion, the pieces met my expectations. Kudos to Royal Chess Mall for providing us chess lovers with a good replica of Bobby Fischer's favorite chess set, at a good price, and excellent service.
This 1950’s Dubrovnik reproduction is incredible and an almost exact representation of the original 1950’s set. I feel this is one of the absolute best reproductions available and at a great price. You can thank YouTube’s “Random Chess Talk” for leading me to your store! :)
I purchased the mahogany-stained set and it looks so much like the original I was smiling from ear-to-ear for just about every piece as I unpacked! The buffing gives the pieces such a soft, satin glow and the overall craftsmanship is just beautiful. With a few nuanced differences, the Knight is very well done and bold. I appreciate the deference that Royal Chess Mall made to the chess community in changing the design of the Rook to better reflect the look of the 1950’s rook.
Not to overstate it, but these pieces are beautiful, honoring of the 1950’s version, and makes me proud to own a respectful reproduction of a piece of 20th century chess history.
I own 40+ Chess Sets. Nice little collection. I was showing it off to a Chess Friend of mine, and he liked what he saw, but at the end asked "Where is your French Chavet Set?" I didn't have one. Thanks to my friends at Royal Chess Mall, I have corrected that omission with this beautiful set. The knights are particularly nice. Quickly becoming one of my favorites.

I had the 19" board and 3.6" Professional Staunton Chess Pieces sent to a freight forwarding company in Miami Florida, which took 7 days, with a final destination of Costa Rica and had concerns ordering it because of possible shipping damage and or damage as customs inspected the set in different countries (5 or 6) as it made it's way to me, I needed not to worry. The packing was fantastic, other then deliberate intent there is no way that the set could have been damaged.
The board has an incredibly smooth finish and is beautifully made as are the pieces. The board was flawless as I expected it to be, there were a few very small marks on a couple of pieces that some would call blemishes, to me it authenticates the handmade workmanship. I would have preferred a darker wood which to me looks a bit more elegant but opted for Golden Rosewood & Maple, which is really quite nice, due to the dark wood table that the set will be used on. The 19" board works very well with this set, and the size and added weight of the pieces are comfortable to use.
Not knowing what to expect as far as quality and the cost to return it being prohibitive I was reluctant to spend any more for a set then I did and after receiving it I don't believe that I needed to, but there is one other set I saw and the detail really caught my eye, and I am considering ordering one more of Royal Chess Mall's set of artwork.

I received them today, expecting something to be wrong with them, easy to spot. I have spent over an hour trying to find the imperfection. I cannot. I have carefully studied all 34 pieces, they all look perfect to me.
I had never purchased an "Unvollkommen" set before from anywhere. This experience certainly makes it more likely I will again in the future. These Chessmen are beautiful
