Bundesform German Staunton Alternative Chess Set- Chess Pieces Only- Golden Rosewood – 3.8″

US $164.95
Bundesform or the Federal Form Chess Pieces emerged as alternative to the widely used staunton chess pieces in the 1930's in Germany.
They became popular for use in Munich Chess Olympics of 1936 and subsequently found their use in chess tournaments.
They were particularly appreciated for their simple design, durability and affordability.

This design will find great favour amongst chess players and collectors for their distinct appearance and playability.

The chess pieces have been expertly handcarved and turned by master artisans with years of experience crafting these pieces. They are highly durable and will last for years and years to come.

Different, yet practical

I can imagine some people might feel uneasy about the political/ideological origins of these pieces, but they are undeniably streamlined, attractive, easy to hold and well-weighted. The fact that they were still in use decades after their introduction speaks volumes for their practicality. If you're looking for a set that's a bit different, have a look at this one.

Excellent! allansbooks will do business with you again! This is the third set I've purchased from Royal chess mall. Their packing is excellent, the service quick, and the quality of their work superb. They have my complete endorsement.

I highly recommend RoyalChessMall. There was a mixup with the chess set I ordered, an incorrect one was sent by mistake, but they immediately responded to my email and sent the proper one out. They even offered to let me have the incorrect set a a very steep discount, which I couldn't refuse. The pieces are beautiful and I anticipate many years of enjoyable study and games using them. Highly recommended!

Would there be a tariff charge on this set? How much would it be if so?
