This purchase was my first from RCM, and it won't be my last! The ebony board and matching pieces are fantastic! The pieces were carved by hand, but I have yet to find any defect in craftsmanship. Likewise, the board is exquisite; I can't find a thing wrong with it. I bought this board/set to use as a new family heirloom, and I'm so glad I did! I am not disappointed; I don't think you'll be disappointed either! (If you buy quality, then it only hurts once!)

It's everything that they claimed it would be.
The only problem is, now I want to upgrade my pieces to match this quality!

"What can I say? This chess board is absolutely magnificent! The craftsmanship is flawless, and it looks even better in person than I imagined. The packaging was exceptionally well done—secure, elegant, and clearly handled with care. To top it off, delivery was faster than expected, which was such a pleasant surprise. Would I buy again? Without hesitation—absolutely! In fact, I’m so impressed that I’m already planning to purchase another board. This has been one of the best buying experiences I’ve had in a long time!"

This board is not only functional but also beautiful! The ebony is dark and beautifully contrasts the bright maple. Definitely a must have!

The chessboard is very nice, it makes a noble impression. In addition, it is very well made and the materials (wood) are of high quality.
The delivery was fast and the communication throughout the delivery process was perfect.

Hello, I have 3 questions for this chessboard of yours:
1) is the King base that you recommend and that I see in the photo part of the chessboard or is it purchased separately?
2) the weight that you declare for the chessboard is 3.3 kg but does it exclude or include the packaging?
3) would it be possible to personalize it by having your craftsmen engrave a name + surname on it?
Thank you in advance.
Hello
Please find the answers below
1. The recommended King base for this chess board is 40mm to 45mm
2. The weight of this chess board does not include packaging.
3. Unfortunately, we are not accepting engraving requests.
Thank you
