All chessmen are not created Equal.
Some are fancy and artistic and look great on Display like contestants in a Beauty Contest. But beauty queens don't always make the best girlfriend - likewise some chessmen are just more fun to play the game.
That's these guys. Sure they look nice too, but their true beauty is in their balance and they way they FEEL in your hand as you move them around the board. Bobby Fischer clearly thought so as out of the countless sets he must have played chess with these were his #1 choice.
He had a famous set of these he kept with him to study you can spot in photos of him planning strategy.
I highly recommend these to anyone who enjoys playing chess.

Couldn’t be any happier! As per usual, my pieces came well packaged and pristine. I have several sets from RCM and all of them are unique and such a pleasure to play on. This set in particular, is my favourite to play with. Generously weighted, well balanced and very streamlined. The Kings stand tall and proud. Queens are robust and feel powerful. The Bishops are sleek yet sneaky. The Knights are well detailed, and really fit in the fingers perfectly and of course the rooks are stalky, they pack a punch when attacking. Each piece is designed perfectly and feels like each piece compliments each other. What a joy to move them around. Generously sized bases, wonderful detail, “chunky” would best describe them yet effortless to manoeuvre. I will say that they are even more spectacular in person then in photos. Absolutely perfect, well done RCM and all that work for you. I couldn’t be any happier! You know we’ll be purchasing from you again. Until next time.

1950s' Fischer Dubrovnik Chess Set- Chess Pieces Only - Ebony & Boxwood - 3.8 " King

I purchased the 1950s' Fischer Dubrovnik Chess pieces in ebony & boxwood. I am delighted with the craftsmanship and the finished product. I was also very pleased to see that every piece was individually wrapped to insure safe arrival. Delivery from India was quicker than my last purchase which was based less than 100 miles from my home!! I have bought other items and find the staff very helpful, answering all my queries and providing photographs to build confidence. A great company with great products.

The set lived up to all my expectations! The carving and finish were excellent! And the pieces fit perfectly on your folding board, and fit within it for storage!

The set arrived safely in 7 days from the other side of the world. Every piece is lovely with incredible balance. The board is elegant and sleek. The pieces slide with the gentlest touch despite their weight.

The asthetic quality, from this design, is everything I could have hoped for. The proportions between pieces are harmonious. The knight is simply stunning while the simple silloette keeps it in perfect balance with the set as a whole. I have the updated rook and it is one of the mightiest rooks I have ever held! I feel fortunate to own this set.
