De originele Dubrovnik Set werd in de jaren vijftig en zestig gemaakt in de werkplaats van de beroemde meester-snijder Jakopović. Dit zijn de stukken die Bobby Fischer tot zijn favoriet uitriep, dit is het schaakspel waarmee we hem in diverse documentaires en foto's kunnen zien analyseren. Hij zei ooit: "Ik denk dat dit het beste schaakspel is waar ik ooit op heb gespeeld. Het is gewoon een genot om mee te spelen, een genot om vast te houden, de definitie van de stukken, het ontwerp, ... het is gewoon een prachtige set, maar hij is moeilijk te krijgen, ik heb hem niet."

Het is bijna onmogelijk om een originele Jakopovic set te krijgen. De prijs van sommige van deze sets die in speelwaardige staat zijn, kan oplopen tot meer dan honderdduizenden dollars en mogelijk meer.

Wij hebben een nauwkeurige reproductie van de originele Dubrovnik tot leven gewekt met verhoogde ballast aan de basis. Het donkere leger is verguld met mahonie en repliceert de originele Dubrovnik-varianten van Jakopovic.

Net als de originele Dubrovnik die door Bobby Fischer werd gebruikt, wordt deze schaakset onverzwaard op de basis verkocht.
